The Sump Pump is an essential part of the rainwater drainage system. We use sump pumps to lift water from basements, crawl spaces, foundations and even yard drains.
The footer tiles along the perimeter walls, collect the water and flow to the sump pit.
The Sump Pump lifts the water collected from under the basement floor and pumps it to the drain tile outside which leads to the street.
How A Sump Pump Works
Water enters the pit from the footer drain and from the graval that surround the sump pit. Then the pump lifts the water up and out thru the discharge line which leads to the street or storm.
The Pit is set at 24" depth and surrounded by gravel. This promotes drainage into the pit from both surface and sub-surface water.
We install ZOELLER SUMP PUMPS. Very Powerful 1/3 horsepower pumps which can easily lift the water up to 25 feet or more.
